BABY ENGLE IS A.....

B O Y !
Thanks Auntie Denise for the cute set of high top socks in all different colors!
Baby engle is going to be so stylish while his toesies keep warm :)

SOOOO.. we went to our much anticipated Before the Stork appointment last night and it was one of the coolest experiences. The gal was SO sweet and patient with us as we asked her questions, talked amongst ourselves and enjoyed this time together. My family sat on the big sectional couch with their own projector screen while Shaun and I sat over with the Ultrasound tech. The minute she put the wand to my belly, Shaun couldn't believe his eyes. The baby is already so big and cute... it was so incredible to see the spine, heart, eyes, brain.. gosh EVERYTHING, so clearly. He couldn't believe that what he was seeing was his son in me at that moment. It is amazing how much he grows each short week.

We told her that we thought it was a boy so she went down to the genitals and confirmed right away.. "Oh, yah! Its a boy, no doubt!" We were SO happy.. as we were really hoping our first would be a boy. But, any healthy baby would do :) Shaun says he knew it all along but was obviously very excited to have her confirm. He gave a fist pump. The lady said that he looked very healthy and has a lot of room to grow in there. Then, she showed us him in 3D/4D.. take a look at Baby Engle (15w2D)!

Isn't that unbelieveable! This is a picture of a picture so its a little hard to make out but once you focus it is pretty incredible the detail that you can see. We saw him playing with the unbilical cord and bouncing around. We totally met our son last night..and we couldn't be more excited and feel more blessed. We cannot wait until his is in our arms but want him to stay put and grow big and strong. Although, Shaun did think he saw biceps already, haha. We cannot stop watching the video that they sent us home with. Seeing him in 4D was our favorite part. It makes us want to go back around 30 weeks and see him again.

This little bundle of joy is already so precious to us, I can't even imagine how much we will love him when he greets us in October. Moms always tell me that it is a love like you have never felt before.. it makes my heart ache just thinking about it. It is such an incredible experience already and it just gets better everyday. I am SO looking forward to feeling him move.. any day now I assume.

We are so relieved that the "IT" stage is over and we can call him a HE now. We think we have narrowed names down to the ONE but we want to get used to it ourselves before announcing it to the world.. until then it is baby boy shopping, nursery planning and house hunting! So much fun stuff.. Wish us luck with the house hunting as it's been tough out there but I have faith that the perfect place will come up for our family to be (just would like it to be in the next 4 months, haha!).

Happy (BEAUTIFUL, SUNNY) Friday. Have a great weekend with family & friends!
Love from our house to yours.

Hugs, Tay.

15 Weeks

One of the pregnancy sites said, "What you are thinking at 15 weeks: Why does this feel like it's going so fast and yet so slow all at the same time?".. I couldn't agree more!! Even Shaun called me the other day at work and said "I want the baby to be here now... but it is going pretty quick!" haha.. such a mix of emotions, but apparently it is VERY normal at this point. Hard to believe that in about a month we will be half way through which seems SO far but that was the quick half ;-/

Ok, so this isn't the best picture of the true baby bump i've got going on now.. those that have seen me lately have said that it just popped out of no where this week. This baby is happy and growing quick! This week "it" is about 4 inches, the size of a Twix finger (my favorite!) or an orange. Baby Engle will more than DOUBLE in size this month.. bring on the Lbs. The nervous system is rapidly maturing, he/she is starting to breathe in the Amniotic fluid, the baby may be able to hear my heartbeat and voice by now and can sense light. It is CRAZY to me that all that is happening and the baby is moving up a storm yet I still cannot feel anything inside of me.. I feel wierdly normal. The body is unbelievable.

Well, we have our gender confirmation appointment tomorrow night and couldn't be more excited. I will try to update ya'll on Friday.. can't wait to share the news! Hope you are having a great week!

Looking forward to: Our Before the Stork Appt next week!

So, its the 14th week and I'm feeling VERY full and uncomfortable but I feel like I am finally starting to look pregnant which is exciting.

In the last post I mentioned that I would have to wait 2 months until my next ultrasound and to find out the gender... BUT, instead I booked a gender confirmation appointment for NEXT WEEK at Before The Stork in Costa Mesa. The whole family can go and view the ultrasound on a big projector screen like a movie theater, you get a sneak peek of your baby in 3D and you get the whole appointment on a CD with music. I am so excited for next week and think it will be a great experience that we will never forget. I am especially excited for Shaun to see his baby for the first time (live) since he hasn't been able to come to any of the Dr appts  yet.

I can't wait to share the news next week! Then comes the fun stuff... shopping and nursery planning! Oh who am I kidding, I have already starting to do that. In fact, i'll show you my Nursery #1 Inspiration board that I made soon as well. This just gets more and more exciting. Still can't wait to feel the lil guy/gal.

Have a great rest of the week.

Hugs, Tay.

13 Weeks: Peach

Happy late Easter! I hope everyone had a wonderful, long weekend. We had so much fun in the sun with our very good family friends, the Maloofs. I have a nice sunburn to prove it.. even my belly has a nice pink hue (Shaun thinks I burnt the baby), haha. Love you Maloofs.. thanks for a great weekend! Hope you are feeling better Auntie Patti.

Baby Engle recieved a very thoguhtful Easter present from "Grandy" Cheryl.. a silver spoon! Every baby should be born with a silver spoon :) This is going to be one spoiled baby.. We love it! Thanks Mom, love you xo.

Well, we have made it to another week. Some say that week 13 is the last week of the first trimester and others say it is the first of the Second, either way we are moving along!.. Baby Engle is now the size of a peach! Finger prints have already formed on his/her tiny fingers that waved to me in the ultrasound.. and his/her vocal cords and bones are forming as we speak. The baby can already suck its thumb! Unreal..

Want to hear somthing else that blew my mind? ...My Pregnancy App tells me that we ONLY have 189 days to go until Baby Engle is in our arms. Thats CRAZY!

As some of you know, we got a pretty good idea of the gender at our 12 week ultrasound (I didnt post that part of the video) but we cannot wait for our suspicions to be confirmed! The ultrasound tech agreed with my conclusion but said we will know for SURE in about a month.. BUT, my next month appointment isn't an ultrasound! So, that means we won't know for sure until the 20 week appt in 2 months! That is so long to wait for a confrimation.. but Shaun will hopefully be at that appointment so it should be an exciting one. I have totally bought some gender specific stuff already though :) We are 85% confident... shaun is 95%.  Conclusion coming soon..

I will post a belly pic at the end of this week since I dont think it has changed much since last Friday.. maybe a little bit more tan though :)

Have a great week!..

12 Weeks

Last week of the First Trimester!

Above is a picture from this morning.. And, here is a picture from tonight..

I swear my belly doubles in size at night. I have talked to many mommies who have said theirs did the same thing.. why is that?!

We also had our 12 week check up today and got to see an incredible ultrasound. It showed us the whole baby's profile, fingers, toes and everything! It was so unbelievable to see how big the baby has grown in such a short time. He/She is already SO cute :)

Well, it was already a big exciting day, but now we are off to look at houses! So much fun stuff going on. I took a great video but it is too big to post. Here is a little sneak peak i'll leave you with..
