B O Y !
Thanks Auntie Denise for the cute set of high top socks in all different colors!
Baby engle is going to be so stylish while his toesies keep warm :)
SOOOO.. we went to our much anticipated Before the Stork appointment last night and it was one of the coolest experiences. The gal was SO sweet and patient with us as we asked her questions, talked amongst ourselves and enjoyed this time together. My family sat on the big sectional couch with their own projector screen while Shaun and I sat over with the Ultrasound tech. The minute she put the wand to my belly, Shaun couldn't believe his eyes. The baby is already so big and cute... it was so incredible to see the spine, heart, eyes, brain.. gosh EVERYTHING, so clearly. He couldn't believe that what he was seeing was his son in me at that moment. It is amazing how much he grows each short week.
We told her that we thought it was a boy so she went down to the genitals and confirmed right away.. "Oh, yah! Its a boy, no doubt!" We were SO happy.. as we were really hoping our first would be a boy. But, any healthy baby would do :) Shaun says he knew it all along but was obviously very excited to have her confirm. He gave a fist pump. The lady said that he looked very healthy and has a lot of room to grow in there. Then, she showed us him in 3D/4D.. take a look at Baby Engle (15w2D)!
Isn't that unbelieveable! This is a picture of a picture so its a little hard to make out but once you focus it is pretty incredible the detail that you can see. We saw him playing with the unbilical cord and bouncing around. We totally met our son last night..and we couldn't be more excited and feel more blessed. We cannot wait until his is in our arms but want him to stay put and grow big and strong. Although, Shaun did think he saw biceps already, haha. We cannot stop watching the video that they sent us home with. Seeing him in 4D was our favorite part. It makes us want to go back around 30 weeks and see him again.
This little bundle of joy is already so precious to us, I can't even imagine how much we will love him when he greets us in October. Moms always tell me that it is a love like you have never felt before.. it makes my heart ache just thinking about it. It is such an incredible experience already and it just gets better everyday. I am SO looking forward to feeling him move.. any day now I assume.
We are so relieved that the "IT" stage is over and we can call him a HE now. We think we have narrowed names down to the ONE but we want to get used to it ourselves before announcing it to the world.. until then it is baby boy shopping, nursery planning and house hunting! So much fun stuff.. Wish us luck with the house hunting as it's been tough out there but I have faith that the perfect place will come up for our family to be (just would like it to be in the next 4 months, haha!).
Happy (BEAUTIFUL, SUNNY) Friday. Have a great weekend with family & friends!
Love from our house to yours.
Hugs, Tay.
