Soooo, we are eating now! The pediatrician said we are ready and good to go if we want to! She was happy with his strength and motor skills. He is hold his head up very well now and is very interested in our meals so we gave it a try. We thought it might coat his belly, make him more full and help him sleep longer too. We started him with cereal and he was a little hesitant at first, not about the food but about 'this wierd spoon object' being pushed into his mouth. We learned that it takes a while to figure out the whole spoon thing. He wasn't loving the plain cereal but when we spiced it up with bananas he was all over it. He literally will dive into the spoon at times. I tried to capture this moment on video but of course the minute I record he stops.. so just try to picture it.. with his hands spread wide like he is flying (he does that when he is excited), mouth wide open and diving very quickly head first into the spoon. He cracks us up. He gets SO excited for his cereal.
We recieved this whole chart from the pediatrician about the order in which to feed them different foods. And, apparently we were supposed to start with veggies, then go to fruits after this cereal.. well, we already kind of screwed that up so he is getting a nice cornacopia of goodness :)
All that said, he is doing great. I can't believe this lil' guy was the one that was just in my tummy kicking around and now he is out, talking (not english.. but we will get there) and eating! unbelieveable.. it's already going so quickly. But, we are having SO much fun experimenting with him haha.. the first child is always the ginny pig, right mom? thats what happened to me.. :)
Have a good weekend! Thanks for reading.
