Happy Friday Ya'll!
Baby Engle had HIS :) four month check up on Wednesday and everything is moving along nicely..the doc measured my belly, listened to the heart beat and took blood. I haven't gained much weight but the baby bump is undeniably visible now. This week he is the size of an Avocado and weighs about 3.5 ounces. His facial features are becoming more defined, the eyes and ears are closer to their final position and his heart is pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day! Still anxiously waiting to feel the lil guy but we are just happy all is on track!
It is amazing to us that we are only a month away from the half-way point in this pregnancy. It seems like it is going so quickly yet so slow at the same time. I know these next 5 months will fly and we are trying to enjoy the last short months of our life as is, just US. It is crazy to think that it will never be just us again, for the rest of our lives. It makes me want to go out and do all of these crazy things (that I cant even do while pregnant) just to cross them off the bucket list. It is so hard to cherish moments like these when we don't know any different until they are gone (and we have an upset little one relying on us to keep them happy and healthy). But, we are doing our best to be aware and recognize this moment in time before it quickly slips away.
For now, we are really trying to focus on finding a home for this growing family to be. As I mentioned, it has been difficult. For example, we found a great house that we could totally see our family in and put an offer on it (second offer we have made).. only to find out that there are 22 other offers on the house! 22!? Thats the market in our price range right now.. no inventory and LOTS of competition including investors that are dropping cash and swooping up homes from under us. Again, we keep praying and we know that something will come up if and when it is meant to be.. it is just frusterating! Definately a test of patience.. which I have little of. I can't wait to get the keys to our first home and start making it OURs with a nursery for the little one and all. The day will come.. until then we keep hunting and crossing our fingers.
Hope you are all having a great week. Shaun, and all the other men in the family, are out in Palm Springs for their annual Nation Scramble Golf Tournament that he helps his brother coordinate every year.. this is their FAVORITE time of year and the boys have been working hard to make it another successful tournament. I hope all the men are having a great, safe time and get home quickly! Maybe one day baby Engle will play in it with his pops, uncles & gpas.. that will be fun :) Shoot low boys! xo
Until next time..
Hugs, Tay.
