I could get more graphic with the symptoms but I will spare you, for those of you who are moms, you know ALL about the interesting changes your body goes through that you have absolutely no control over...
Ohh the joys of pregnancy ;-)

Baby Engle is about the size of a CANTALOPE, 10.5 ounces and 10 inches long head to toe. Week 19 (last week) I neglected to post but he was the size of a Mango. I can't believe it. He is now practicing swallowing and has taste buds. Everything is in the proper place now (ears, eyes, arms, legs etc.) and he is rapidly gaining weight. He is now covered in vernix (the white cheese-like coating which protects her skin from the amniotic fluid), which makes his skin  have that baby-soft feel after he is born. I learned that at this point, the baby has already the established sleep patterns of a newborn and has a preferred sleep position. I thought that was so neat becuase I was just telling my mom the other day about how I have noticed that he is generally active while i'm going to bed, sleeps through the night (well, that I can feel), and wakes up with me active and ready for breakfast. Wouldn't that be great if that was in fact his sleeping pattern as a newborn! Crossing our fingers.. we will see!

On another note, I am obviously pregnant looking these days and find it interesting to see peoples reactions.. you would think they have never seen a pregnant woman before! Some people give me dirty looks, some look me up and down and some moms smile (I like them). I talked to my friend Becky who has a 10 month old (our handsom God son, Cannon) and she said that she got the same thing.. We think people think that we are "16 and pregnant". People are just mean! It is hard enough coping with the fact that you feel larger than a house and still have 5 months of growing to go. Sorry, venting.. just wierd.

On a happier note, we have our 20 Week appointment on Friday morning! The halfway checkup, ultrasound, measurements, blood draws etc. Shaun is going to this one and I can't wait for him to meet the Dr. and see his son again. We feel like we haven't seen him in soo long.. Hopefully we will get some updated pics of the lil guy to share ;-) Pretty confident but praying that everything is on track and that he is a healthy boy. I am anxious to see if he is in the "larger percentile" at this point, I wouldn't doubt it since he does have a big Daddy!

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend and are having a wonderful week!
Thanks for reading! xo

Hugs, Tay.
